This three-part series (Feb 12th, 19th, and 26th from 5:30 pm - 7 pm) provides multi-crop vegetable farmers with a step-by-step process for determining crop-specific costs of production and a framework for using cost-of-production information for business planning and decision-making aimed at increasing overall farm profit.
As we work through the series, farmers will do in-season record-keeping focused on doing time studies to measure the time that different labor activities take. After farmers complete their time studies they will use the provided costing tool to calculate their costs and eventually analyze these results concerning their crop plan.
This workshop was made in collaboration with the Louisiana Small Scale Agriculture Coalition (LSSAC) and the Delta Regional Food Business Center (DRFBC).
